We are Acme Radio Live, an online radio station here in Nashville, Tennessee.

We are Acme Radio Live, the authentic voice of Music City. ARL is an online streaming radio station that operates out of Acme Feed & Seed on 101 Broadway, Nashville, TN. We serve as a discovery platform for local Nashville artists, including all genres of music, and broadcast them worldwide.

Acme Radio honors the past through preservation and fosters the future by showcasing the next generation of rising artists. We celebrate heritage acts while shining a light on up and coming musicians, who are getting by on a day job and a dream. Our content features a mix of carefully curated playlists with an emphasis on local artists, live in-studio sessions, and recorded performances from the Acme Feed & Seed stage and beyond.

Launched in 2019, “Acme Radio Company,” the non-profit sector of our station, honors the music community through charitable donations. One way we achieve this is through special event production with all proceeds benefiting charitable organizations. Past events include Record Store Day and Dancin’ In The District. Charitable partners have included: Music Health Alliance, Just Us at Oasis Center, The Shalom Foundation, and more.

Acme’s Mission Statement

Housed in a national treasure built in 1890, providing a real Nashville experience is reflected in all we do. From the made-from-scratch family recipes, to the local craft beer selection, regionally sourced retail items in the Acme Farm Store, a constant stream of artists that appear on Acme Radio Live and our stage, or the curated country music artifacts that cover the walls, Acme’s mission is to stand for, serve, support, share, and save Nashville’s unique identity.

The Team

Guy Fell

Radio Production Coordinator

Guy Fell a.k.a. DJ Giddyup, found his way to Nashville from Louisville, KY to attend Belmont University for audio engineering. Before settling down here at Acme Radio Live in 2016, he interned at Lightning 100 and worked as a monitor engineer at the Franklin Theatre. As Radio Production Coordinator, he mixes all of the audio for Acme Radio, from our commercials to in-studios sessions to all of our live performances. He loves working for this station because of the focus Acme Radio Live puts on giving not only a voice, but also tangible content, to incredible artists that may not have the support of a major label.

Justin Hammel

Programming Director

Justin Hammel began his music journey in Nashville at Belmont University, studying Business with an emphasis in Artist Management. After graduating in 2005, he was promoted from intern to a full-time employee at Lightning 100, doing production, promotional work, being a radio personality, and working to propel the local music scene forward. Hammel also began leading the FM takeover in Manchester, TN for Radio Bonnaroo, and has been for over 10 years now. In 2015, the opportunity arose to be a part of something new: a streaming radio station at Acme Feed & Seed. He has now served as the Programming Director of Acme Radio Live since its birth, working to highlight the best of local music in Downtown Nashville.

Preston Evans

Talent Buyer

Preston Evans a.k.a #FIP (formerly intern Preston) began interning at Acme Radio Live in 2016, and has stuck around here ever since. Five years later, he now works as the talent buyer for Acme as well as the in-house videographer and photographer for Acme Radio. Native to Nashville, Preston stoutly believes in giving a voice to the myriad of gifted artists that can unfortunately slip through the cracks in such a saturated city. His hope is that Nashville’s music community will always flourish and churn out brilliant storytellers and dynamic performers alike. He is happy to be part of a team whose mission is to support these artists.

Sam Rochford

Marketing Coordinator

Sam moved to Nashville from Connecticut by way of Boston in 2015. She strong-armed her way into getting a show on the Boston station WEMF after being interviewed about her own music. She moved to Nashville after landing a job at 650 AM WSM, working as the social media coordinator, news corespondent, and off-site interviewer for the station’s first all female run show “Nashville Today.”

Sam is a regular in the local Nashville indie scene, playing and releasing music under her own name “Sam Rochford” and making her backing band “Randy & The Mormons” wear Hawaiian shirts to every show. In late 2022, after a chance meeting with Amanda DeLong at Daddy’s Dogs, she landed a job as a Marketing Coordinator for ARL! When she’s not talking about music, or making Justin Hammel do TikTok dances, you can catch her talking too much about the Dune novels.

Tom Morales

Founder

Tennessee native, Tom Morales is the founder of the TomKats Hospitality. His love for the city and dedication to its continued growth has led to a number of nationally-acclaimed restaurants. When he decided to open Acme Feed & Seed, Acme Radio Live was an essential part of the vision. The carefully curated live music at Acme combined with its eclectic cuisine comes together to be the unique and authentic place that is ‘Where The Locals Go’.

Jordan Johansen

Host of “Notable Nashville”

Jordan Johansen moved to Nashville in 2008 to attend Belmont University, studying music production and business. Combining his passion for local music and radio broadcasting, he started the “Notable Nashville” Podcast in 2015. He’s been the sole host and producer, interviewing over 150 guests in 7 years. Jordan currently works full time at iHeartRadio in the digital department. He’s grateful for the opportunity to be broadcast through the airwaves of Acme Radio Live!
